Network connections

Ed

My office currently has Windows 2000 Server (Domain
Controller) and 27 workstations with XP Pro ... all the
workstations have identical hardware , and by-in-large are
identical in their software setup...We try to lock all
workstations at night using the "start" button and the "L"
key...by the next morning the same computers (usually 6)
cannot connect to our network...when clicking programs
icons nothing happens, viewing mapped network drives
usually brings up hour glass and no response. The only
way to re-establish network connection is to log off or
restart the computer.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

1. Using task manager, check which app(s) are not responding?
2. Anything scheduled to run on nights (antivirus, backup...)?
What if you don't lock these machine for night - will they hang up as well?
