net send * not getting to one client

Why wouldn't net send * get to a client? Messager service
is running on the client and the client computer name is
setup in the WINS server. Other clients on the network
are working.

As I know, WINS is working for name resolution for machine name and
user name. If you send to workgroup name including '*', it is
broadcasted to your subnet, not going out to another subnet across the
router.

Would you give us more information regarding network configuration?

All of the computers are on the same Subnet. All
computers except this one get the messages sent to *.

I checked this computers subnet. It was set incorrectly.
I set it and now the user gets net send * messages.

Thank you for the great tip. -Jake

Let me double check.
Does that machine belong to the same workgroup? * means only your workgroup,
not everyone in the subnet.
Have you tried to send to machine directly, "net send [machinename]..."?
What happens?
