I don't find the option to start Netmeeting from MSN Messenger. Although
Netmeeting is available in XP , i am unable to have a net meeting
(audiovisual) with a contact by typing the contact's Hotmail address. Is
there a way to start Netmeeting from MSN Messenger like in Win 98? I am
using MSN Messenger Version 6.1

Greetings,

Unfortunately in MSN Messenger 6.x on Windows XP you cannot start Netmeeting directly from
Messenger.

If you'd like to have this functionality, you'll need to use Windows Messenger 5:

and import this .reg key:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/wm5_addnetmeeting.reg
(if Windows Messenger is running, you'll need to restart it to see the Netmeeting option)

Oh, I have a problem. Netmeeting is launched alright from WM 5 but audio &
video are not getting activated. All the menu items related to audio & video
are greyed out. Also the mic & speaker controls are not seen. After
installing WM, I have uninstalled MSN Messenger 6.1. I have deactivated the
Win XP firewall to the internet connection. What this problem could be due
to? Can U pl help out?
Thanx.
