Needing the CD to install a spam filter update is ridiculous

I am using the junk filter of Outlook 2003.

Apparently the recognition rated dropped,
so I wanted to install the junk filter update.

The installation routine of the junk filter update
says it requires some .cab file which is only
available on the installation CD.

This is ridicolous for an update like this.
My company is installing software for me.
Now to install the hotfix I need to get the guys
responsible for the installation to hand me
the office 2003 CD.

An alternative is that every user has a copy of the complete set
of installation CDs in his office. Great idea by Microsoft.

Actually, the solution is Office to be set up so that it can either connect
to a network copy of the installation files or a local cache. Access to the
original source has been necessary for several versions and is a requirement
of Windows Installer.
