greetings all

i was wondering if windows xp pro can be used as a server
for my home wireless network and if not would anyone know
a good server i should use

heres the jist

my laptop has a network card and a wireless internet card
i'm trying to bridge the 2 cards so that the rest of my
comps gan get internet as well

my network card goes into a desktop comp and from there
into the wireless network card i have no other way to hook
it up

the wireless network card is going through a router for
the rest of my comps

i'm not sure how i should hook this up

if i move my wireless card i loose my conection to the
other comps and there too far away for lan line or cable

I am not sure if I follow your post but see if this applies to you. If your
wireless router have ethernet port on the back, set your network up this
way:

Connect you desktop to the wireless router via ethernet cable.
You laptop should already have access to the wireless router
Connect your wireless router's WAN port to the DSL/Cable modem.

Make sure all your computers are joined to the same workgroup and enable
"File and print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" in your network properities
window.
