Wireless Networking....

Hey there,

I've posted here before but never thought about a
wireless network. I was wondering, the set up I have now
is that my comp gets the internet directly from the cable
modem and then it gets sent off to the other comps
through a hub, can I do this wireless without a hub by
just taking out my second nic card and putting in a
wireless net card and sharing the internet connection
with it? any help or ideas would be apreciated.

Yes, you can do that, using an "Ad-Hoc" wireless network between two
or more computers.

However, I'd recommend a different setup: get a wireless broadband
router and connect the cable modem to it. You can connect computers
to the router using wired and wireless connections, and the router
can share the cable modem between all of the computers. There will be
no need for two NICs or Internet Connection Sharing.
