Need help with a patch problem

I am trying to install a program that I had a demo with and then it keeps
coming up with "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package." So I
am not to sure what to do. Was wondering if anyone could help?
