Need Help Restoring

I Need help restoring a computer. i had some spyware on it which i pretty
much removed. My desktop icons don't show up and my computer doesn't act
normal. I would like to just restore the computer with system recovery but it
always says no changes have been made after i try it. i would rather just
restore it to the way it was when i bought or put a new windows on it but i
don't have any of the original disks that came with the comp. Can someone
please help me.

Contact those you bought it from - there may be another method to restore
it. However - if you are saying there were CDs and you no longer have
them - you may be out of luck when it comes to restoring it without
purchasing software.
