Need advice on having more than two monitors.

I currently have a dual head graphics card.
Unfortunately, I want to have more mornitors!
I've been thinking of getting a triple head or quad head graphics card.

But, someone told me that I can simply get two dual head graphics cards and
thereby having 4 monitors?
Is this true?
Will I just be able to slot the cards in... and that's it!?

Also, if I've already got a dual head card installed, can I just simply add
another one?

Any help would be appreciated.
