My XP pagefile.sys was somehow deleted!

Hello Anyone,

I have tried all the suggestions given on this topic and these two facts
remain true:
1. There is no memory management in reg.
2. No pagefile ever gets created after setting a new size.

Dispite have all permissions I still cannot create a pagefile.sys and
continue to get the "Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is
too small"

ad 1. What does "in reg" mean and where exactly do you exptect to find
the memory management "in reg".

I treied your suggestion and no dice, I also uninstalled the Norton Antivirus
already prior to asking for help. Any other thoughts?

Nope. Since the referred MSKB articles did not apply, the only explanation
left is that your problem is caused by poor third-party software or even
caused by malware.
