It appears that you may have a piece of spyware/adaware that was installed
on your comptuer either with something else you installed or without your
knowledge. I suggest you run a spyware removal tool such as Spybot Search
and Destroy or AdAware. They can alert you to any software you may not want
and give you back the control you desire.
