My PC is restarting after being shutdown

I am using XP Pro SP1. Just recently my pc has been restarting approx 10
seconds after it has shut down. I have run Spybot & Stinger to check for any
viruses etc. It runs completely through the shutdown routine and my monitor
even displays a message (off mode in 5 seconds) and powers down. Does anyone
have any ideas what moght be causing this?

I had this problem after installing a firewire card. Took it out and all was
well.
