My mouse wont scroll

G

Guest

I am a new user of XP.

I have just installed "Quicken" a now technically unsupported financial
prgramme in XP, but my mouse does not scroll. It does in other programmes.
Any ideas?

my computer games.

You must have installed a very old version of Quicken then, because
Intuit is still making that program and it is of course supported in
XP. XP has been out for over 4 years now.

If the mouse doesn't scroll in a program, that is because the program
doesn't allow it and there isn't anything you can do about it. It isn't
an operating system limitation.

If you are using a very old version of Quicken, uninstall it and install
a current version one. Or look on Intuit's website to see if this was a
known issue with your version of Quicken.

"Unsupported"? Why do you say that? Unless yours is a very old version,
that's not true.

The mouse scrolls fine in Quicken 2006 here. What version are you running?

1. Uninstall Quicken

2. Go to Control Panel

Reinstall your mouse driver

The issue is not with the OP's mouse driver since scrolling works in
other programs. There would be no point in uninstalling Quicken and
reinstalling the mouse drivers. The issue is with the way the program
is coded, not the mouse drivers.
