My Home Page Setting and Search Button on IE Change Unexpectedly

My home page setting and the search button on IE change
unexpectedly.

I have tried the following measures:
1- went to "Tools-->Internet Options" and changed my home
page under ther General tab.
2- followed the steps stated in the MS support page
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;320159&Product=ie600
3- changed my registry as stated in the MS Support page
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-
US;281770

After trying each of the above measure and setting my home
page, my home page is what I set it but if I exit IE and
open it again or re-boot, my home page changes to some
some other page.

My PC was infected with some Trojan horses but I have got
rid of those and my virus software is not detecting any
viruses.

Does any one know how I can set my home page and not get
it changed?

Thanks

First priority: Download CWShredder and run it.
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
[Removes all CoolWebSearch variants]

Then, download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system.
1. Start Ad-Aware.
2. In the main screen, Click [Check for Updates] [Connect] and download the latest pattern file if available. and click Finish
3. Click Star | Next (System will now detect the spyware)
4. After the scan is finished, click "Next"
5. Select all the items (checkboxes)
NOTE: Right click on any object in the "Scan result" list and choose [Select all objects]"
6. Click Next and click OK to confirm spyware removal.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
