I bought a Thomson 'Lyra' mp3 player, when ever i try and sync on WMP10, it
gets as far as 'preparing to sync', stays there for about 10 minutes then
changes to 'stopped'. also, when i plug in my mp3, and turn on my pc, the
screen says 'transferring', and never leaves that screen, even if I turn the
pc off or unplug the mp3. I have only been using a pc for a few months and
have no idea what i'm doing wrong.
Somebody please help!
thanks

Don't use the Sync feature. Just drag&drop the music files to the
MP3 player using Windows Explorer.

Thanks, can you tell me exactly how I 'drag and drop', please? I'm new to
computers and I'm not sure what that means. also, the player itself always
says transferring. do you know if i can disconnect it via the computer?
Thanks very much for your help!

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer and open it.
Navigate to the My Music directory and Open it to the music files
you want to transfer. Click the first one and hold down the Shift Key
and click the last one, this will highlight all files in between. Now hold
down the left mouse button while over the highlighted music files and
drag them down the lefthand column to the MP3 drive, probably "D" or "E".
Hover over it so it highlights the drive and let go of the mouse button.
This will drop all the files to your MP3 player. Wait for a minute or so
while it puts the files on the MP3 player. Play with it and you'll get the
hang of it.
