"My Computer" IE history

When I open any document, picture, ect it places a record of the event in
"My Computer" in IE history tab. How can I prevent this? When I try to
delete the individual items sometimes they won't delete. If I delete "My
Computer" It deletes the browsing history for the whole day. Thanks JP

You can't stop History from listing My Computer items. I have no trouble
right-clicking My Computer in History and deleting it with no affect on the
other items. You can also selectively delete History items by finding them
in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\History\.
