Well have tried :
two problems
1 - have 4 USB devices connected ( scanner / printer / graphic tablet / USB
radio) : diskette hangs at trying to identify last one.
This happens in early phase.
Have "corrected" by disconnecting the USB device in question ( graphic
tablet)
2 - hangs at trying to find USB harddrives ( which I do not not have)
This happens later on after displaying the Caldera Dr_DOS message and
assigning drive letters.
Corrections possible ?

Don't see what is to correct. Apparently, everything that the bootdisk is
supposed to do was done. Wasn't intended to operate your scanner or
graphics table or USB radio. It's a Boot Disk, after all, not intended to
be a finished operating system. And .. hangs at trying to find a
non-existent
USB harddrive? Uhhhh ... I guess it would do that.

Don't agree :
1 - I haven't said I expected it to OPERATE my scanner or other USB devices.
Just said it HANGED on them, and I hade to disconnect theses devices from
the PC in order to be able to boot the disquette further.
Good practice would be to jump to next step if USB device either not
recognized or not manageable.
2 - Haven't said I would like it to find a HD that is not there ( I am far
from totally idiot, you know ... and using DOS bootdisks since they exists
and since first PC ever). But again your bootdiskette HANGS at trying to
connect to FIND USB hard drives. Either there are, and it tries to connect :
OK. Or there aren't, and it shoudl simply continue.

So there ARE errors in this bootdiskette to be corrected, if it is to help.
Otherwise, I am pretty sure many will discard it. Given the potential it
has, it would be a pitty. So hope you can fix it.
Thanks !

Having to disconnect thing to get

I would not like any programme to hang in this way !

Following this logic, you would be quite happy for your boot disk to
hang on my machine while booting up, because it is trying to find a
usb device I do not have ???

I am sure this is a miscommunication - cos what you say above does not
make sense to me

cheers

Well, now that two have posted with similar problems (I think two), I
suppose
there is something to work on. It is curious, nonetheless, that I haven't
read any
posts from more domestic users. I wonder if something is quite different
about
the versions of Windows being used in Europe? I will work on the problem.
