MSBlast.exe virus

karen

Comcast Online sent me an e-mail to safeguard my computer
from Phase Two of the MSBlast.exe virus. It lists the
steps to take. It sents me to the following site
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?
url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp and asks me
to choose "windows XP 32 bit Edition or windows XP 64 bit
Edition". How do I identify what Windows XP edition I
have?

thanks, karen

If you have to ask,it is 32bit.

You would know if you had the 64bit version (which only runs on IA64 ie
Itanium and Itanium II processors) by the light feeling in your wallet.

If you download the wrong version you will get a "not a valid win32
application" message when you try to run the patch.
