MSBackup/NTBackup to mapped network drive with XP Pro

I've got 3 systems (all running XP Pro). I've mapped a network drive on two
of the systems from a third system. Ntbackup let me designate the mapped
network drive as a destination for the backup. But when it ran, it failed
with Event 168. I ran the backup through the administrator account with a
password.

Has anybody done this successfully? Seems like it should work.

Hi,

Do you have write permissions on the designated location? That is the most
likely the problem.

As far as I can tell everything is wide open. I checked the box to let
others modify it. Is there anything else I need to do? Anything I could
check?

Hi,

Check the permissions on the destination drive while logged onto that
system. Also, recheck the path designation in the task.
