Greetings all...

I need to convert some MP3s into regular music CD tracks that my
daughter can play on her CD player.

I'd appreciate a freeware suggestion please.

Regards

Most of recent burning programs can do it, simply selecting mp3 tracks and
select "audio cd" to burn.
The decoding is automatically done before burning the tracks.

A good freeware one:

Hope this helps.

Use LAME with the Razor frontend.

Click LAME options on the Razor front-end: Select Output Directory

Add MP3 File

Click Decode on the Razor front-end: .wav in Output Directory.

RazorLame is a front-end for use with LAME.

LAME is a great MP3-Encoder: it's very fast, it produces high-quality
files, has many advanced features (like Variable Bitrates and
Joint-Stereo), and it's open source.

It is a command line utility, and that is where RazorLame comes in: it
provides an easy-to-use graphical user-interface which makes
MP3-encoding even easier!

You can find more about LAME at http://www.mp3dev.org/

Yup on both counts. Most recent burning proggies can do it and,
cdburnerxp is a very good one. Been using it for over a year now w/o
much problem.
