CD to mp3 conversion

Hi All,
I have received an MP3 player as a birthday gift and now find I need a
cd to mp3 converter so I can load my CD's into it. (Newbie, obviously)
Any suggestions for a freeware converter will be gratefully received.

There's plenty of freeware mp3 converters.

Some require that you separately download lame_enc.dll and drop it into
the application folder. For the best audio quality, stick with a 160K
bitrate or higher.
