Moving My Documents Folder to a different hard drive

I have a 40Gb Hard drive which is partitioned (2 x 20GB). I want to move the My Documents folder from the C drive to the D drive. What is the safet way to do this?

Use TweakUI for Windows XP.

TweakUI is available from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

The setting you seek is located in the My Computer, Special Folders section.

Safest way is to download TweakUI from the Microsft
download site.

Then select My Computer > Special Folders > My Documents.

Then copy the files from the original folder over to the
new location.

Hi,

Easisest way of doing this without downloading anything, is to right click
on the My Documents shortcut and select properties. On the target tab, type
in the full address of the new location and click ok.
