mouse pointer

Any idea why my mouse pointer frequently turns into an
hourglass, and then back to pointer?
It does it about every 2 minutes or so.
Is there something running in the background that is
causing this?
Thanks for help.

Sounds like it. How much Ram does your system have? Go to Start>Run
type: msconfig select Startup Tab. See what
programs you can do without on startup.
