More XP Service Pack 2 Problems!

I posted a note yesterday that I was having difficulty
downloading updated software via Norton's LiveUpdate.
Today I realized that the Service Pack 2 Firewall has
disabled my local network between my two PC's! I cannot
figure out how to re-establih my hardwire LAN seyup.
Does any know how to completely uninstall this damned
Service Pack 2 from my computers??

panel add/ remove program, click sp2 uninstalled ,, trey

Well, unfortunately I did the uninstall of Service Pack
2. Now I am left the same problems as with SP2 but I now
have Service Pack 1 back. Furthermore, I cannot
reinstall SP2 again. So this whole SP2 thing is a mess!
