More on Time format

In an earlier thread on the time format bugs, it was suggested that the 24
hour format be changed to 12 hour so that afternoon scanning could be
scheduled. I cannot find anywhere to do this within the program so
presumably it is supposed that the setting is changed in Windows itself.
As I do NOT wish to change to 12 hour clock, is there any alternative at
present or am I just doomed to morning scans which don't suit me - sometimes
my computer is not switched on until 11.30 !!

I think you have slightly misunderstood the `temporary
fix` on offer at the moment for this issue. You don`t have
to be stuck with morning scans only to schedule your scan.
The idea is as follows:

1. Change your system to the 12 hour format (English
United States) through the regional language options in
control panel.
2. Open MSAS and configure the time of your choosing
(albeit AM or PM)from within the program and close down.
3. Return your system to the 24 hour format (ie.
presumabley what you are using now) through regional
settings in control panel, wherupon the scan will take
place at the correct time of your choosing.

This issue should be fixed in Beta2.

Stu's given the right info--you need only make the change for long enough to
set the desired schedule. Once the schedule is set, you can swtich the
format back to your normal choice.

Excuse this being off topic, but an important point of etiquette I need to
understand.
A few moments ago I sent my thanks via Bill Sanderson's message though the
original help came from yours. I would never know if you had read that
reply.
When one gets useful replies from several people it seems churlish not to
respond to each, but a bit pointless to send multiple same messages to the
group. I realise that etiquette demands replying to the group but is there a
"correct" way of sending multiple thanks?

Hi Jackie

No problem with the reply issue. Bill should take credit for that cos he and
indeed the other experts (MVPs) on here have addressed this issue many times
over before - I just help out from time to time. I am not aware of a facility
to make multiple posts within the same group but you can cross post your
message to multiple groups viz click Advanced Options in the New Question,
New Comment, or Reply form, and then type the additional discussion groups
you want to post to in the Cross-post to these discussion groups box. Use a
comma (,) between discussion group names.

Thanks Stu, but no - not cross posting. I meant replying to multiple
respondents within the same thread. Its just that you pose a question one
day and may get 4 or 5 good answers before you open the ng next day or maybe
3 days later. You just want to say thanks to all of them and it seems
pointless to send the same message separately to each. Generally I thank all
in one reply to the group via the last in the thread, but I wondered if that
was good ettiquette. Maybe there is an Ettiqutte news group I can submit to
!! Please don't trouble yourself to reply further. I think I've caused
enough time off topic already and apologise formally to the group.
