MMC Snap-in generates an error report

I have Win XP SP1 and every time I exit the MMC 2.0 version 5.1 snap-in with
the Symantec Security Center Console, Microsoft encounters a problem and
closes the MMC. When I close the console, it also asks me to save changes to
the console and then I receive the error. I have also noticed the error when
I try to lock a computer group in the Symantec console. When I try to send
an error report to Microsoft, it doesn't offer any solutions to the problem.
The problem only occurs when I use MMC with the Symantec System Center
Console 5.0. I have also e-mailed Symantec about this problem. I am not
sure if the problem lies with MMC or the Symantec console. I receive the
following error in the application event log:

Source: Application Error
Error: 1000

"Faulting application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module
mmcndmgr.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106, fault address 0x0003f5e5.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

Any ideas?

Start>run>msconfig>ok, click on "expand file"
(general tab)

File to expand: mmc.exe
From: X:\I386
To: %windir%\system32

Where X=CD drive (XP CD is required for this)
change it accordingly. If your system has OEM/preinstalled then check
at:- C:\Windows\I386.In that case :-
File to expand: mmc.exe
From: C:\Windows\I386
To: %windir%\system32.
Reboot when finished.

Thank you for your response. I tried that solution and I am still having the
same problem. I restored the file from the XP Cd and from the Windows I386
folder on my C Drive. Any other ideas?
