Mitsumi Floppy drive

i have bought a 7 in 1 mitsumi internal flash card
reader, i am using windows xp pro and everythings seems
to work except the floppy drive the light comes on but
will not read any disks i keep getting the error "please
insert a disk into drive A:" According to Mitsumi's web
site it is fully compatible with xp and should work fine.
Does any body have any suggestions??

There has been a security patch that had also cause my statndard floppy
drive to not work. I forget the patch number but I was able to remove it
and my floppy is work fine again.

BTW: The patch the "that" patch is coming in SP2, sometime in 2004.

have the correct patch number and how to un-install it
