missing icons under Office 2003

Greetings all,

How can I repair my missing icons under Office 2003 (XP SP2)? I have tried
to repair office 2003 automatically (from the help menu Detect and Repair)
but it does not work. I can't even uninstall Office 2003, getting always
the error message from Windows installer that it can't be uninstalled
(missing .msi). How can I fix it ? I have tried with the original CD to
point to the proper .msi file with no luck. I got the same error message.
How can I fix these damn office 2003 icons ?

Thanks in advance!

I may not exactly undersand your question, but it seems to me that, in any
application, you can right click near the the bar where the icons are,
click on customize, and then, using the left mouse button, grab move any
icon that you want up to the bar.

I followed your advice and did it but it doesn't fix the issue (after
rooting).

Thanks

Not clear if the shortcuts are missing or just their icons.
I have tried to repair office 2003 automatically (from the help menu Detect
and Repair) but it does not work.

Since the Repair tool fails, re-create the shortcuts manually. As for
the Outlook desktop icon (namespace) use TsweakUI as already mentioned
in this thread: TweakUI > Desktop > Microsoft Outlook > tick.

The other Office programs for your shortcuts are found in subdirectories
under %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office.
