missing file or corrupt

when I turn on computer I get:
file missing or corrupt /WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM
tried doing the setup but it takes me to the recovery console and i do not
know what to do from there. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP?!!!??!!
