I am getting somewhat fed up with being told by Vista every time I
plug in or unplug my headphones "Information A jack has been
[unplugged] [plugged in]" How can I turn this 99.9999% pointless
message off?

Thanks

Hi from "old" Europe
I have seen somewhere a response which tells that you have to disable the
ballon tips.
Hope this might help to find you way to enlightenment!

This might be a message from your audio card driver/utility rather than
Vista. It was a selectable option in my Realtek sound utility under XP but I
don't see it with the current driver under Vista.

I never get this message because I always leave my headphones plugged in.

Upon completion of the investigation, Microsoft will take action to help
solve your problem. This will involve remote execution of the user.
