MIME and W2K etc

Hi, I am looking for a menu like program, that can do on Win 2K
what Windows 95 and 98 could do out of the box: to associate
an application with a certain MIME type.

It has disappeared out of "userland", why?

It would be handy to have this sort of freedom in managing
player again. To be able to associate a player with an extension
is not enough.

Couldnt find anything in the MS knowledgebase. To manipulate
the registry with Netscape seems not to work for IE anymore.

Still looking for a solution, all vendors of players can do it,
why not the users? ;-)
