Migrating from WinNT4 to W2K

Hi All,

A total newbie question for you all.....

How would you setup a winnt workstation to work in a w2k ad native
environment. Is there anything special that needs to be done. As We are
planning for migrating from a NT4 domain to W2K AD using ADMT, but for ADMT
to work you need AD running in native mode and this means that I can not run
AD in mixed mode.

This is just me thinking out loud here and well just wanted to plan and
ensure everything will work when I get everything ready for the migration
and any issues i might have with it.

Thanks

Native mode just means you can't have any NT BDC's, you can still have NT
Workstations and member servers. You can however install the dsclient on
your workstations to give them access to some limited AD features although
this is not compulsory.
