Microsoft Window Messaging Subsytem Spooler has encountered a prob

There appears to be a message stuck in the outbox in Outlook. Every time I
start Outlook it tries to send the message and since it has started the send
I can't delete the message to get rid of it. I ge an error that says
Microsoft Windows Messaging Subsystem Spooler has encountered a problem and
needs to colose. I respond to send the error report, but no subsequent
activity will process. I have to close Outlook with Task Manager.
Anyone have any ideas??
