Microsoft Office 2003 Beta Version Problem

B

Brian Fergason

My friend's Microsoft Office is telling her that her
beta version has expired and needs an update. When she
tried to update it it would not allow it. Please send a
solution or some more info on this so that she can fix the
problem.

The trouble is because your friend has a BETA version of Office 2003. A
Beta Version is used to find and correct errors so that they can be fixed
before the product is released as a product. As Office 2003 has now been
released as a product, there is no need for Beta testing and so there are no
more Beta version available. To continue to use Office 2003 you will need
to buy the product.

Some beta versions just can not be updated with final product. This is known and expected behavior.
Then you need to completely remove beta and install final version.
(if the beta is too buggy, uninstall may fail as well ... )
