Download free whitepaper - IT service management: is it now too important to
leave to the IT department alone?
Microsoft yesterday used its Silicon Valley outpost, just down the road from
Google, to unveil a "major update" to the web's third most popular search
engine. And, yes, it's only been a year since the last major update. Bill
and the gang plan on re-launching Live Search every 12 months.

With this update, the company now claims that - on the whole - its core
search engine is better than Yahoo!'s and on par with Google's."

Judging from the popularity of Google, I'd say a lot of people disagree.
Personally, I don't rely on any single search engine anyway.

But take a look at the new Silverlight front end for Live Search at
www.tafiti.com, I bet that fancy UI has got the people at Google thinking.
IMO some of those new features are actually quite useful.

I agree with you about Windows Live search. They are finally getting it right!

Google is over the top; it gives you too many results NOT relevant to your
search.
And it is money-based on who pays the most money.

I used Google for years, not any more.

Windows Live is home page now!
