Microsoft Money Unsolicitated Installation Message

I do not know how this started, I think it might have started after I ran a
disk cleaner but I'm not sure. Anyway, I have not used Microsoft Money 2001
in a long time, I do not even have it on my computer anymore. This message
is popping up for me to install Microsoft Money every time I go to a
different web page or change to a different screen on my computer. I
recently installed Microsoft Office 2007. When I click OK and try to go
through the install of Microsoft Money 2003 I am asked for the Microsoft
Works Disk 2 which has Microsoft Money on it. However when I put in the disk
and try to run the install I get a message saying that the file it is
searching for is not on the disk (money.msi). I think the problem might be
that the install is looking for Microsoft Money 2003 but on my Microsoft
Works 2001 disk 2 it refers to Microsoft Money 2001. I tried to go to
Windows Task Manager, Applications tab and End Task the install, which I do,
but the install always pops up again. How can I either install Micosoft
Money or do away with this annoying pop up installation message? Frank C.

What do you mean by a "disk cleaner"? What program was it? What did
you clean? Did you "clean" the registry?

Registry cleaning programs are *all* snake oil. Cleaning of the
registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry alone and
don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit
it may have.
