I just applied the update to this bulletin; now it seems
that the majority of pictures from the Internet that I
right-click "Save Picture As...", the File name
is "untitled" and "Save as type" is "Bitmap (*.bmp)" with
no other alternative. I'd like to save them as JPEGs.

Also, at some unknown point, all of the pictures I had
previously saved as Opens With Windows Pic and Fax Viewer
started opening in MS Photo Editor. I changed the default
back in Folder Options/File Types, but now I'm wondering
if the two problems are related? Also, the icon for JPEGs
in File Types remains the same as a DLL.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to switch back to any software to view
images. I use ACD See. My viewer (Windows Picture and
fax Viewer) did not change however, I am only able to
save as Bitmap now too. I don't think the to items are
related but if you do not double click the image you are
trying to save and just right click, you get an option
called "save target as". If you use this one, it will
save it original size as a jpeg just as before....

Hope this helps...
