Outlook Express to My Pictures... changing format

Friend has email configured to Outlook Express. When she
receives a picture via email, she "copies" then "Save as"
to My Pictures.
The photos START as JPEGS, etc... but when they get to My
Pictures, they CHANGE into FILES. And these pictures can
only be viewed by Windows Fax Viewer.
I know there is a setting SOMEWHERE for this.. Just don't
know where or how to do it.

Running Disk CleanUp may be the solution...
