I have a junk email about refinancing that when I try to delete, I get a
message that "an unknown error has occurred" and will not let me delete the
message out of my email box, any help would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks

Right-click on the "Junk E-mail" folder, then click "Empty 'Junk E-mail'
Folder". It will delete them one at a time. So you'll have to do this over
and over until they're gone.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common
antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee,
or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such problems, although
seldom immediately, so if you have such a program, remember
where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again.

The only way I was able to get rid of one message in my junk E-Mail was 1.
to right click on the Junk E-Mail folder.. 2. Click Empty "Junk E-Mail"
folder. 3.Click Yes for confirmation prompt. Hope it works for you.
