media stream problems

Hi, I have set up publishing points and web pages to view the media and it
all seems to be working fine. I can stream on computers that are connected
to the server on the network but when the server is accessed from outside
the network the stream fails. The pages work and media player load but no
file. I disabled the firewall and tried. I have set all permissions to allow
anonymous access.
Windows server 2003 standard
I've tried accessing the asx file and the htm file that was created in the
wizard. Both dont work outside the network.
I am stumped.
