Is it possible to burn CD's without the 2-second gap between tracks on Media
Player 10?

If not, what would be the best software to use to do this?

Not with WMP10. If you have Nero or Roxio's Easy CD Creator, they have the
feature of eliminating the gap. But, those apps are not free. Below is a
free
app which you can use to manually eliminate the gaps while the songs are on
your harddrive, but it will be a tedious procedure. There may be other apps
available that are free, maybe someone will provide that info.

For writting without gaps install Burnatonce (used to be free) then click:
Settings > Options > Audio Mastering > uncheck 2 Second Pause
