Mdac 2.8 Update and MS04-003

Hi,
I have windows XP and 2000 workstations with MDAC 2.7
SP1 installed. I wish to upgrade to MDAC 2.8 and apply the
patch MS04-003. When I installed MDAC 2.8 i must reboot
and log back on to apply the MDAC version change. If I
applie MS04-003 right after MDAC 2.8 Installation, without
rebooting between the 2 installations, when I reboot at
the end, the MS04-003 patch isn't applied.

Is there a way to install both MDAC 2.8 and MS04-003 over
MDAC 2.7 SP1 without having to reboot 2 times?
