Mapped Network Drives

I have an XP SP2 Pro machine on an NT Network, with a mapped drive that takes
15-20 seconds to appear (moving flashlight)
It is only 1 network drive out of 6 on the PC that takes so long.
Checked size of data in this drive (M) which is less than what is in the
other drives that appear instantly (H&P)
Have put the server IP in the hosts file and mapped to the IP rather than
the UNC

Have even disabled firewall temporarily with no joy...

Does anyone have any suggestions please??

Juniorpie, I am having the same problem with only XP. Were you able to find
the solution? Right before I found your posting I ran in to another similiar
posting. The recommended solution was disabling "Windows Image Aquisition" in
Control Panel. I will give that a shot later on today. Please let me know if
you found a solution.
