Mapped drive disappearing on XP SP2 clients

I have several students whose mapped drive is disappearing. The client
machines are running XP SP2, the server serving the shared drive is Storage
Server R2. I've looked for information on a hotfix and other clues without
success.

- I have confirmed the power management feature on the NICs is disabled.
- The students have two mapped drives and only one of them disappears.
- They do not lose network connectivity; access to the Web and network
printing continue to work.
- The teacher does not seem to "lose" the mapped drive in question.
- Not all students "lose" the mapped drive in question.

The mapped drive is being assigned by ScriptLogic's Desktop Authority. We've
never had this issue and the equipment, operating systems and Desktop
Authority are virtually the same as last year.

Any solutions or guidance on troubleshooting this further would be
appreciated.

Is there a special timeout or keep-alive value set before? Maybe it
expires?

No special timeouts or keep-alive values have been set, at least not
knowingly. The drive mapping done through Desktop Authority is essentially a
script created through the ScriptLogic GUI interface. As far as I know, it's
no different than writing a net use script of your own.

Where would I look for timeout or keep-alive values?
