Hi,
I upgraded from win98 to windows xp. Now when shutdown, the pc doesn't
physically power down, whereas with win98 it could.
1) Can I configure XP to physically shut the machine off?
2) could this be a bios prob?
or,
3) there is a double stranded blue/white twisted pair of wire leading
to the power button and back down to the motherboard. The machine's
behavior doesn't seem to change if this is plugged in or not, assuming
I am attaching it to the right place.
Other machine specs from Belarc advisor:
VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8601
Enclosure Type: Desktop
Processor a Main Circuit Board b
633 megahertz Intel Celeron

128 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: 601-686A
