so does anyone know if a radeon x550 graphics card would fit into a dell dimension 1100 because when i looked at a picture of it the bits you slot into the computer looked the wrong way around

Nup, I don't think your Hell Dell has an AGP slot ... no go then. It's all on-board and a crowbar would break it.

Sorry, but that 'model' is about as basic as you can get ... you'll need a new PC to fit the graphics card.
