lsass.exe system error

I just received the following error form my W2K Domain
Server
lsass.exe - System Error : Security Accounts Manager
initialization failed because of the following error:
Directory Service cannot start. Error Status: 0xc00002e1.
Please click OK to shutdown this system and reboot into
Directory Services Restore Mode, check the event log for
more detailed information.

Logged on to Restore Mode, and checked the Event Log which
also showed

Error 550 (ffffffdda) has occurred (Internal ID404e0)
please contact Microsoft Product Support Services

When I check my DNS in safe mode, I see no
forwartd/reverse lookup zones

Anyone got any ideas?

AD-integrated DNS zones cannot be seen in Directory Services Restore mode.
