Lost history in IE6

Hi all,

I have lost the history in IE6. No matter what I do, it stays empty in the
browser window. On disk, I still can see some, but not in the browser. I
have cleared history completely several times, but no luck.

I have installed all latest updates for IE6 (xp) including sp1, sp2 and all
the fixes. But still, no luck.

Does anyone have a clue as to how to repair the history view in IE6?

Wim,
Possibly your History folder is corrupt:
[XP\2K]
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder(s).
[example]
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"

Note: McAfee AV with ActiveX controls enabled is known to cause History
problems.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for you fast response. I tried removing the History folder (with full
admin rights) but I get the message that its a system folder and can not be
removed. Any idea how to force removal?
