Lost Drive : BIOS Changes Needed?

After installing a new slave drive the boot up was okay but I can not see
the new drive with Explorer. Also,Settings>Control Panel>Administrative
Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management does not display the new drive. Is
there changes I should make in the BIOS?

No, just change the position of the little "clip" on the drive.
Assuming it's an IDE drive?
Assuming the master has the pins set to Master.
OR set both the CS. (cable select)
Are they on the same cable or seperate cables?
Is it new or an Ebay job? Might be cactus?

Also with regard to the Master drive, some brands use two jumper
settings - one for "stand alone master drive" and another for "master
with slave present".
