lost document

I was working in a word document that I opened from an e-mail attachment.
Instead of clicking "Save As" to save it, I clicked the disk icon in the
upper left corner. Now I can't find the document. I've searched by date and
key word, looked in all my document folders and hidden folders. Is there any
way to find this document?

There is a list of recently opened documents at the lowest part of the file
menu, you can open it from there. Also if you have not deleted the mail yet,
open it from there.

Assume e mail gone?
Have you got another with an attachment; if so click "save as" and see
where it's going.
Probably in Outlook Express temporary folder.

When you work on a file you received as an attachment, you should *always*
do a 'save as' first, before making any changes. What you were working on
was a temporary copy of the file, and sadly, the changes may not have been
saved.
As another reply mentioned, you can try the 'most recent files' menu in
Word, but if it ain't there, you'll need to start over.
